FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is thrivor?
Thrivor is an app that brings together products and services to help support people outside of their medical care. Thrivor helps provide solutions for some of the everyday challenges that people living with a health condition face, from transport to treatment, to the tasks that need to be done at home.
How much does thrivor cost?
The app is free to download and use for you and all your supporters.
The app can link you to thrivor’s partner service providers (e.g. Uber; hipages, Sittr), and if you use these services, the standard rates and terms and conditions of the service provider will apply.
How many people can I have in my support network?
You can invite as many people as you like. Some people like to invite a few family members and friends, and others like to recruit lots of family and friends, to help share the load.
How long is the app trial period? What happens after the trial ends?
Bupa and thrivor would like to trial the app for 3 months. After this, you can continue to use the app as usual.
Thrivor and Bupa will send you and your support crew a quick survey to complete, as we would love your feedback on the app. Understanding what you like about the app and what you think would make it better, will help thrivor to evolve and be more useful for others in the future.
How did Bupa get my details?
Bupa receives information from hospitals when a member makes a claim for hospital care. Bupa has a team that focuses on designing health programs and services that our members might find helpful. Thrivor is one of these services.
Why is Bupa offering this app?
When we met with thrivor’s founder Justin and he shared his story, we knew this was something we wanted to be involved in. We believe this is a great offering that may help to support our customers. Bupa will not benefit financially in any way from this app.
Will my information be shared with anyone?
Any information you provide when downloading, registering or using the app will be de-identified, so that your information remains private, and your survey responses will be anonymous. This de-identified information will be provided to Bupa by thrivor purely so that we can evaluate the success of the pilot program.
